در حالی که آرکوس نام شناخته شده ای در دنیای تلفن های همراه مانند سامسونگ، اپل یا لنوو نیست، اما هر سال مدل جدیدی از آن با سخت افزار قوی تر منتشر می شود.
در همین راستا، این شرکت فرانسوی از خطوط تولید گوشی های میان رده و قیمت مناسب ۵۰f Helium و ۵۵ Helium پرده برداشت، که در هر دوی آن ها هفته آینده در Archos IFA رونمایی خواهند شد.
گوشی ۵۰f Helium دارای یک صفحه نمایش ۵ اینچی با رزولوشن ۱۲۸۰ در ۷۲۰ و ۲ گیگابایت رم و یک سنسور اثر انگشت در پشت دستگاه است، که البته برای یک گوشی با متوسط قیمت ۱۳۲ دلار به نظر زیاد است. آرکوس هم چنین می گوید که بدنه گوشی بسیار مقاوم و از جنس فلز می باشد. حافظه داخلی آن ۳۲ گیگابایت در نظر گرفته شده است که به لطف شیار توسعه microSD امکان افزایش ظرفیت آن تا ۱۲۸ گبگابایت وجود دارد. از دیگر ویژگی های این گوشی می توان به ۴G LTE شارژ سریع کوالکام، یک دوربین اصلی ۸ مگاپیکسلی با فوکوس خودکار و فلش LED و آندروید ۶٫۰ مارشمالو با ویژگی Doze اشاره کرد.
البته در حرکتی رو به عقب، بر روی این گوشی از تراشه اسنپ دراگون ۲۱۰ استفاده شده است. باتری دستگاه هم دارای توان ۲۰۰۰ میلی آمپر است و این کار را برای رقابت با گوشی های هم رده خودش کمی سخت می کند. لازم به ذکر است که یک نسخه دیگر هم از ۵۰f Helium وجود دارد که دارای ۸ گیگابایت رم است و قیمت پایین ۱۰۵ دلاری آن، می تواند هر کسی را برای خرید آن وسوسه کند.
نسخه ۵۵ Helium Ultra، قابلیت های سخت افزاری بهتری را ارائه می دهد. این گوشی که دارای قیمت حدودا ۱۵۷ دلار است، دارای یک صفحه نمایش بزرگتر ۵٫۵ اینچی، ۳ گیگابایت رم و یک باتری ۲۷۰۰ میلی آمپر است. پردازنده مدیاتک ۶۷۳۷ قدرت دستگاه را تامین می کند و در حالی که بسیاری از ویژگی های دیگر شبیه به ۵۰f Helium باقی می ماند، خبری از اسکنر اثر انگشت در این گوشی نیست. همانند مدل دیگر، نسخه ضعیف تری از ۵۵ Helium به نام standard 55 Helium وجود دارد که با ۱ گیگابایت رم و ۱۶ گیگابایت حافظه داخلی ۱۱۷ دلار قیمت دارد.
تمام این گوشی ها دارای دو شیار سیم کارت خواهند بود و به گفته آرکوس از ماه اکتبر در تمام دنیا در دسترس علاقه مندان قرار می گیرند.
